Dear PS29 Parents, Families and Friends: Mark your calendars! This year’s Benefit & Auction will take place on Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at Strong Rope Brewery in Red Hook. As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the event is a joyful evening of community and spirited bidding—all in support of PS29. This year’s theme, Night on the Canal, sets the scene for an Italian evening—fresh pasta, artisan gelato and cold drinks on the waterfront, with music and dancing to follow. There

Our big day in the school garden is approaching fast on Saturday, April 25, and we need volunteers! Click here to see the various garden helper slots for parents and kids from 10 am to 1 pm It’s a great way to volunteer to mark Earth Day and help our garden grow. The Rummage Sale is a favorite event for the entire neighborhood! PS29 families – and community members too – bring textiles and clothing to the PS29 Cafeteria (enter through Henry) on May 3rd. Clothing can be dropped off anytime between 9 am and 2 pm on the day of the event. Clothing and shoes are offered for sale at just $2! Unsold clothing and textiles will be recycled by Wearable Collections. Stained & ripped clothing and textiles welcome to recycle, not to sell. Clothing

POSTPONED DUE TO BAD WEATHER! Dog lovers and owners, this Sunday, Jan. 11 is the first-ever PS29 Off-Leash Dog Walk at Prospect Park. Meet in the Long Meadow near Grand Army Plaza ( here’s a map! ) and enjoy a morning of fresh air, physical activity and canine love. Dr. Fagin and Ms. Liz will be there leading the pack from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Did we mention those Bandannas for sale at Move It Morning? They’re especially for the dogs!
